Automatic Log In

Post by Brophy »

Is there any way of sorting this out? Be dead handy to just have it log in automatically instead of having to go through that page everytime I want to make a post.

Do you not just click the "Log me in automatically" box after you've entered your username and password?

I'll ask JP to have a look for you.

Is this happening every time you try yo access the site Anthony or has the auto log-in worked once or twice? I know I've had to re-log in when in work a couple of times since Friday despite ticking the auto log in

What browser do you use ? You didn't block it from accepting RI cookies or delete RI cookies after a certain amount of time by mistake by any chance ?

Anthony, I've tried but haven't been able to find anything that needs to be adjusted from the software end of things here. As OH says, it could be to do with the cookie settings on your browser. If you can, let me know what browser you use.

Also, if you are running any anti-virus software that operates within your browser or any add-ons for the browser maybe there are some settings in there that need to be changed.

I'll keep looking and if anything turns up in the meantime that can be tweaked to help you with this will let you know here.

Thanks OH and JP. I can confirm it's deffo my computer at home because i also hit the automatic log in button when logging in, in work and it's worked there.

Browser is windows internet explorer i think. I'm fairly useless at computers in general so i hope thats right.
